Cheng San-kung

Cheng San-kung In Chinese legend, a deified mortal honored as patron god of fishermen. Cheng San-kung, Hou Erh-kung, and Keng Ch’i-kung all fished together, as sworn brothers. One day they saw a yellow rock protruding out of the water. A spirit told them it was made of gold. They rowed to the rock and tried to pick it up, but it was too heavy to move. Then they prayed to Buddha, promising to build a temple in exchange for the golden rock. Their prayers were answered: the rock became light, and they took it home. In return, they built a temple to Buddha.
