Behdety

Behdety (he [i.e., Horus] of Behdet) In Egyptian mythology, the winged sun disk, combining the sun with the falcon as the two highest soaring bodies known to the ancient Egyptians. Later assimilated with the god Horus, the winged sun disk is a frequent motif found at the top of funerary stelae. The cult was localized in the district of Edfu, called Apollinolis Magna by the ancient Greeks, who equated this disk with their god Apollo.
