Ferdinand III of Castile
In Christian legend, king of Castile when he was 18, Ferdinand spent almost his entire life fighting the Moors. In one battle he was aided by Saint James the Apostle, who helped his army kill thousands of Moors.
Only one Christian died in the battle. He is buried in the cathedral at Seville, having been canonized in 1668 at the request of Philip IV.
