Jumala (god) In Finnish mythology, a semiabstract term for the supreme being, mother of all things. The oak tree is her symbol. She bears similarity to Mother Earth, but she is greater. In some areas Jumala is a male deity. Jumala was sometimes called Kuoja (creator). He was later replaced by Ukko, the Finnish sky god.
