The Joelma Building in São Paulo is allegedly haunted by victims of the fire that started on 1 February 1974, after an air conditioning unit on the twelfth floor overheated; centered on the “Mystery of the Thirteen Souls”, individuals who died within an elevator as they were trying to escape the fire, and are haunting the building.
