Maruts

Maruts (flashing) In Hindu mythology, wind gods who form part of the entourage of Indra, the storm god, or of Rudra (another name for Shiva). Their number varies in different texts, the seven major ones being Vayuvega (wind speed), Vayubala (wind force), Vayuha (wind destroyer), Vayumandala (wind circle),
Vayujvala (wind flame), Vayuretas (wind seed), and Vayucakra (wind disk). Maruts are also called Rudras.
