Kadru

ORIGIN:

India

Kadru is the mother of the Nagas. She has over one-thousand powerful snake-spirit offspring. Her primary myth involves her competition with her co-wife, Garuda’s mother. Kadru may be venerated with her children or alone. She is invoked for fertility and wealth, as well as protection from snakes. Do not venerate together with Garuda.
