Brimir (the bloody moisture) In Norse mythology, a giant, sometimes believed to be identical with the primeval giant Ymir, whose blood flooded the earth when he was slain. In the Grimnismal, one of the poems of the Poetic Edda, Brimir is the name of a sword.
