Forseti

Forseti (Forsete) (he who sits in the front seat; chairman) In Norse mythology, god of justice and conciliation; son of Baldur and Nanna, whose home was Glitnier. The kenning for Baldur is “Forseti’s father.” According to the Prose Edda, “all disputants at law who bring their cases before him go away perfectly reconciled.” The term forseti is still in use today as the title for the president of Iceland.
