Causimancy

Causimancy

Causimancy or Causinomancy, a form of Pyromancy, is an ancient system of divination that draws omens by observing objects placed in a fire.

Etymology

Derived from the Greek kaustos ('burned') and manteia ('divination').

Methods

According to Causimomancers, if the offering fails to ignite, or burns slowly, it is considered a bad omen. If the items burn rapidly instead, it is considered a favourable omen.
