Chemosit

Chemosit, plural: chemosisiek From the demonology of the Nandi people of Kenya come the chemosisiek (“the strikers”). These demonic, elemental spirits were never human or created in any way; they have always been in existence. They are described as being one-legged half-bird, half-man creatures that use their walking sticks to strike cattle and humans, causing them to fall ill with disease. Masai folklore describes the chemosisiek as having nine buttocks, one leg, and a mouth that glows like fire.
