Celaeno (swarthy) In Greek mythology, one of the seven Pleiades (a constellation), daughter of Atlas and Pleione. Celaeno was the mother of Lycus and Chimaereusc by Poseidon and, according to some accounts, the mother of Delphus by Apollo. Celaeno is also the the name of one of the Danaides (the 50 daughters of King Danaus), the name of a daughter of Poseidon and Ergea, and the name of one of the Harpies.
