Roderick, Don
Roderick, Don (eighth century) In medieval Spanish history and legend, last Visigoth king of Spain, appearing in many Spanish ballads. He was defeated by the Moors in July 711, disappearing on the battlefield. He either was killed, drowned, or escaped. Some legends say he is alive and will return to Spain in its time of need.
