Go-oh

Go-oh In North American Indian mythology (Iroquois), the spirit of the winds who lives in the north sky. He controls all four winds; the bear, north wind; the panther, west wind; the moose, east wind; and the fawn, south wind. When the north wind blows, the Iroquois say, “The bear is prowling in the sky.” If the west wind is violent, they say, “The panther is whining.” When the east wind chills with its rain, they say, “The moose is spreading his breath,” and when the south wind wafts soft breezes, they say, “The fawn is returning to its doe.”
