Toadstone
A toadstone is a gem alleged to be in the head of an old toad that possesses magical powers. According to lore, a toadstone detects the presence of poison, such as in food, by changing colour. It functions as an AMULET in the protection of newborn children and their mothers from the power of Fairies.
