Mouse in the Coke Bottle, The This urban legend concerns food contamination and includes a rodent, or part of one, found in a bottle of Coca-Cola. It has long been told in reference to court cases or sensational news stories. An innocent person purchases a soft drink and notices a strange taste. He drinks it down to a point where something appears to be floating in the liquid or lying on the bottom of the bottle—a mouse. The story usually concludes with legal action and a large sum of money in damages for the plaintiff.
