Alchibany

Alchibany: A demon named in Peterson’s translation of the Sworn Book of Honorius. Alchibany is said to serve beneath the demon-king Maymon, who is connected with the direction north as well as the planet Saturn. Curiously, the text seems to also imply that Alchibany is subordinate to the southwest wind, although how this is reconciled with his service to an infernal king of the north is never made clear. Compare this demon’s name to Aliybany, said to serve Albunalich, demon-king of the earth, in the Driscoll translation of the Sworn Book.
