Estsanatlehi (woman who changes) In North American Indian mythology (Navaho), mother earth, who renews youth with the seasons, brings female rain, and has power over all reproduction on earth. She helped create light for the world through the use of her white shell and turquoise beads and by using a magic crystal. She left the earth to live with her husband beyond the waters. She is also called Whiteshell Woman, Ashonnutli, and Changing Woman.
