Riga City Canal (Bastejkalns) – Riga

The Bastejkalns area in Riga, near the Freedom Monument, is said to be haunted by the ghost of a woman dressed in old-fashioned clothing. She is believed to be the spirit of a woman who drowned in the canal many years ago. People have reported seeing her walking along the canal banks, only to disappear suddenly.
