Tengri (Tangara, Tengeri, Tura) (god, heaven) In Siberian mythology, the sky god and a general term for God among the Mongolians. He created humans from fire, wind, and water and then breathed life into them. There are two aspects to the Mongolian sky god, Blue Tengri, who represents the power of the various phenomena of the sky that bring fruitfulness to the earth, and Eternal Tengri, who rules over the fate of mankind. The two terms are often used interchangeably.
