Asperim: According to the Occultist Samuel Liddell MacGregor Mathers, the name of this demon is derived from the Latin word aspera, meaning “perilous” or “dangerous.”

The meaning of the name is perhaps a subtle warning regarding the demon's true nature. Asperim is one of many demons who serve in the hierarchy of the four demonic princes of the cardinal directions. He is summoned as part of the extensive Holy Guardian Angel rite detailed in the Sacred Magic of Abramelin the Mage.
