Marbuel

Marbuel: According to the Sixth and Seventh Books of Moses, Marbuel is one of the Seven Great Princes of Spirits. When summoned, he appears in the form of a great, old lion. He is a finder of secret things and can bestow honours upon the magician.

He is also able to deliver treasures from both water and land to the summoner. Given Marbuel’s leonine form, together with his office as a revealer of secrets, it is tempting to relate this being with the Goetic demon known as Marbas. There is a pattern of three circles connected by radiating lines in Marbuel’s seal that distantly echoes the traditional Goetic sigil of Marbas. This lends credence to a connection between these two beings.
