Zatik In Armenian mythology, a vegetation god. The Armenian translation of the Bible calls the Jewish passover “the festival of Zatik,” and Armenian Christians call Easter the Festival of Zatik. This has led some scholars to believe that Zatik was a vegetation god, whose resurrection began at the winter solstice and was completed in the spring. Similarly, St. Bede derives the English name for the feast of the resurrection from a pagan spring goddess, Eostre.
