Aengus og
Aengus og (Angus, Oengus) In Celtic mythology, son of Dagda, god of love and beauty, who had a golden harp. His kisses became birds that hovered invisibly over young men and women, whispering thoughts of love in their ears. Aengus og drank the Ale of Immortality, and four swans circled over him when he travelled. In James Joyce’s novel Ulysses the god is called Aengus of the Birds.
