Aliel: A demon named in the Ars Theurgia. Aliel serves in the court of the demon-prince Dorochiel where he commands forty lesser spirits of his own. He is said to have achieved the rank of chief duke, and he serves only in the first half of the night, between dusk and midnight. Through Dorochiel, he is associated with the west. His name appears again in the hierarchy of the demon Masiel. Here, Aliel is said again to serve during the hours of the night. He holds the rank of duke and has thirty spirits beneath him. He is also said to be a duke in service to the infernal king Maseriel. In this hierarchy, Aliel is connected with the direction of the south. He serves his master during the hours of the day and has thirty lesser spirits under his leadership.
