Ansoel

Ansoel is a demon named in the Ars Theurgia, where he appears within the court of Prince Usiel and serves specifically during the hours of the night. His office is closely connected with secrecy, concealment, and the protection of valuable objects from discovery.

According to the text, Ansoel possesses the power to hide precious possessions so effectively that thieves are unable to find them. The same magical current also works in reverse, allowing him to reveal objects that have already been concealed through similar supernatural means.

This double function gives Ansoel an unusual place within the spirit hierarchy. He does not simply guard treasure, nor does he merely expose what has been hidden. His authority lies in the boundary between concealment and revelation, making him a spirit whose power depends upon controlling whether something can be perceived at all.

Within the Ars Theurgia, Ansoel holds the rank of duke and commands forty subordinate spirits.
