Astraia

Astraia

Starry One

ALSO KNOWN AS:

Astraea; Asteria

Astraia is the Goddess of Righteous Justice. She lived on Earth during Greece’s Golden Age (age of Kronos) but was so dismayed by the evil and lawlessness she witnessed during the Bronze Age that she departed to the heavens. You can find her in the sky as the constellation Virgo.

• Astraia’s parents may be Themis and Zeus or Astraios and Eos.

• Astraia is closely associated with Dike and Nemesis, other ancient spirits of justice.

• Some consider her to be the same spirit as Dike.
