Chagljevi : Unknown Dog of Eastern Europe.

Physical description:

Doglike. The size of a puppy.

Behavior:

Nocturnal. Afraid of humans.

Distribution:

Montenegro Republic, Yugoslavia.

Possible explanation:

The Golden jackal (Canis aureus) is still found in southeastern Europe, as far west as Italy and as far north as Austria. It stands 15–20 inches at the shoulder.
