Devil’s book
Devil’s book
A black book kept by the Devil listing all persons who have pledged Pacts with him. In accounts of witch trials during the Inquisition and the writings of Demonologists, the Devil held out his book at Sabbats and had his new recruits swear their allegiance to him by placing their hand upon the book. The recruits then signed their names in the book in their own Blood. Some witches said that the books also contained spells and Charms for evil deeds.
