Haapsalu Episcopal Castle – Haapsalu

This medieval castle is famous for the legend of the White Lady, a ghostly figure who is said to appear in the castle’s chapel window. According to the legend, the White Lady was a nun who fell in love with a priest and was bricked up alive in the castle walls as punishment. Every August, during the full moon, her ghost is said to appear in the chapel window.
