Katanikotael
Katanikotael: In the Testament of Solomon, Katanikotael is the eleventh demon belonging to a group of thirty-six demons of affliction and disease associated with the decans of the zodiac. Katanikotael is a particularly spiteful being, causing strife and unrest at home and making tempers flare. He also makes the residents of a home feel uneasy. While most of the zodiac demons described in the Testament of Solomon have a specific angel that can be called upon to drive them away, Katanikotael instead must be driven from a home using specially prepared holy water. The “cure” for his presence calls for seven laurel leaves that are scribed with holy names. These laurel leaves are then washed in water. Sprinkling this water around the house is reputed to cause the demon to depart.
