Mantiens: This name is likely derived from manteia, a Greek word referencing any practice of divination. As such, the demon’s name can be taken to mean “the Diviner.” Mantiens appears in the Sacred Magic of Abramelin the Mage as one of several demons serving beneath the four infernal princes of the cardinal directions. He is summoned as part of the main Abramelic operation, an elaborate and time-consuming spell designed to put the magician in contact with a tutelary force known as the Holy Guardian Angel.
