Nominon is a demon named in the Sacred Magic of Abramelin the Mage, where he appears among the subordinate spirits attached to the great infernal powers described in the text.

His name is unusual because it is essentially derived from the Latin concept of a name itself. This gives Nominon a strangely self-referential quality, as though the designation identifies little more than the fact that he possesses a name within the hierarchy.

Within the Abramelin system, Nominon is said to serve beneath Beelzebub, one of the principal infernal rulers. His importance therefore rests less upon a developed personality or specialised magical office and more upon his position within the chain of demonic authority.

The surviving material does not provide an elaborate mythology for Nominon. No distinctive appearance is assigned to him, nor is there a clearly defined individual function that separates him from the many lesser spirits named throughout the work. What remains is his presence within the hierarchy and his allegiance to Beelzebub.

This apparent obscurity is characteristic of the Sacred Magic of Abramelin. Many of its spirits are preserved only through their names and their relationship to greater infernal rulers, yet together they create the impression of a vast and carefully ordered demonic world.

Nominon therefore stands as another fragment of that greater structure. His seemingly redundant name may appear insignificant at first glance, but within the Abramelin tradition even the most obscure spirit belongs to a system in which authority and subordination define the architecture of the unseen world.

Stop Treating Demonology as Trivia

A name like Nominon is easy to dismiss because so little survives about him, but that is exactly where serious occult study separates itself from shallow curiosity. The real question is not simply who Nominon was supposed to be, but why a grimoire such as the Sacred Magic of Abramelin placed hundreds of spirits beneath powerful infernal rulers and treated that hierarchy as something the magician needed to understand.

The Occult World Mystery School is for those who refuse to remain satisfied with fragments. Demonology becomes powerful when you stop collecting names and begin understanding the system of authority behind them. Black Magick becomes meaningful when you stop admiring darkness from a distance and begin confronting the deeper ideas about will, power and personal sovereignty that run through the occult tradition.

If you intend to become the conscious force within your own world, then passive curiosity is not enough. The person who never studies power will always remain vulnerable to whatever already holds it, while the occultist chooses to understand the hidden structures that others ignore because understanding changes the position from which you act.

There are thousands of spirits, gods, demons, magical systems, grimoires and forgotten traditions waiting beyond it, but they will remain nothing more than words until you decide to go further.

Enter the Occult World Mystery School and stop standing outside the world you claim to want to understand. Immerse yourself in Demonology and Black Magick deeply enough that occult power ceases to be something distant and mysterious and becomes something you can recognise, comprehend and bring into the conscious mastery of your own reality.
