Ocel: Demon of Confusion and Mental Assault

Ocel is a malevolent demon named in the Munich Handbook, a medieval grimoire containing rites of necromancy, spirit conjuration and destructive magic. Unlike many demons whose powers are connected with treasure, knowledge or supernatural revelation, Ocel is associated with a far more intimate form of attack: the deliberate disruption of the human mind.

Within the grimoire, Ocel is invoked as part of a retribution spell intended to strike an enemy. His power is said to operate upon the victim’s thoughts and senses, producing confusion and mental disorientation. Rather than attacking the body directly, Ocel turns perception itself into a weapon, clouding judgement and leaving the intended victim unable to trust what the mind is telling them.
