Oclachanos is a demon of disease mentioned in the Liber de Angelis. Within the hierarchy described by this grimoire, he serves directly beneath Bilet, one of the kings of the infernal realms.

Oclachanos is associated specifically with the deliberate infliction of physical suffering. The text describes him as a spirit who may be conjured against an enemy in order to produce illness, turning the body itself into the instrument through which his influence becomes visible.

The symptoms attributed to Oclachanos are severe and debilitating. His presence is said to manifest through fever, trembling and a profound weakness in the limbs, leaving the victim physically diminished and increasingly unable to function normally.

This makes Oclachanos a particularly dark figure within the magical worldview of the Liber de Angelis. He is not presented as a spirit of temptation or deception, but as one whose power is expressed through bodily deterioration. Disease becomes, within this context, something that can be intentionally directed through occult agency.

His position beneath Bilet also reveals the hierarchical structure assumed by the grimoire. Oclachanos does not operate as an isolated supernatural force, but as part of a larger infernal order in which lesser spirits answer to more powerful rulers.

The figure of Oclachanos belongs to a tradition in which illness could be interpreted not only as a natural event but also as the result of spiritual hostility. Grimoires such as the Liber de Angelis preserve a world in which magic, disease and invisible intelligence were closely connected, and where the magician sought knowledge of those connections in order to understand forces ordinary people could neither see nor explain.

Knowledge Is Power Only When You Go Deeper

Most people will read a name like Oclachanos, feel a moment of fascination and then move on. That is the difference between curiosity and occult study. Real understanding begins when you stop collecting fragments and start entering the systems that produced them.

The Occult World Mystery School is where that deeper study begins. Demonology was never simply a collection of frightening names, and Black Magick was never intended as decorative mythology. These traditions were built around the conviction that hidden forces could be studied, understood and approached through disciplined knowledge.

If you want power over your own life, then ignorance is the first thing that has to die. The person who understands the forces shaping a situation stands in a very different position from the person who merely reacts to whatever happens next. That principle lies at the heart of serious occultism.

There are thousands of spirits, gods, demons, magical systems, grimoires and forgotten traditions waiting beyond it.

Enter the Occult World Mystery School and stop remaining powerless in front of what you do not understand. Go deeper into Demonology and Black Magick until hidden knowledge stops being something you merely read about and becomes part of the way you consciously shape your own world.
