Soleviel is a demon described in the Ars Theurgia as a wandering duke of the air whose authority extends over an immense and constantly moving spiritual court. Rather than remaining attached to one fixed direction or territory, he travels from place to place while the spirits beneath him accompany his movements. His immediate hierarchy consists of two hundred dukes and an equal number of companions, and these spirits themselves possess numerous servants, creating the impression of a vast aerial host that moves wherever Soleviel’s influence carries it.
Within this wandering company, twelve dukes are granted particular prominence. Inachiel and Praxeel appear among the foremost members of the court, while Moracha and Almodar follow within the same hierarchy. Nadrusiel shares this elevated rank with Cobusiel, and the sequence continues through Amriel and Axosiel before reaching Charoel and Prasiel. Mursiel and Penador complete the circle of Soleviel’s twelve principal dukes. Each of these spirits commands one thousand eight hundred and forty servants, who are described in the Ars Theurgia as obedient and comparatively good-natured.
Soleviel’s court is therefore remarkable not simply because of its size, but because the entire hierarchy participates in his wandering nature. His authority travels with him, carried through the air by subordinate dukes whose own retinues expand his influence even further. This gives Soleviel a distinctive position within the Ars Theurgia, where some spirits are attached to fixed quarters while others belong to mobile courts that pass through the unseen world without settling permanently in one place.
