Autonoe (with mind of her own) In Greek mythology, daughter of Cadmus and Harmonia; sister of Agave, Illyrius, Ino, Polydorus, and Semele. She was the wife of Aristaeus and mother of Actaeon and Macris. Autonoe was driven insane, along with her other sisters, for their ill treatment of Semele.
