Lyut

Lyut: A demon serving in the hierarchy of Harthan, an infernal king of the element of water. Lyut is also affiliated with the region of the west. This demon’s name appears in the Driscoll edition of the Sworn Book, a fourteenth-century text that deals with the summoning of both angels and demons. According to this text, when Lyut manifests, he has a mottled complexion with a large and ample body. By nature, he is witty and agreeable but also somewhat jealous. He can help others avenge wrongs. He is capable of moving things from place to place and providing a cover of darkness. He is said to be one of several spirits that can be summoned with the aid of special perfumes.
