Allallu

Allallu :  In the Babylonian epic poem Gilgamesh, a fantastic bird destroyed by the goddess Ishtar. The goddess at one time loved the bird, but she destroyed him as she did all of her lovers. The bird then lamented his fate, saying, “O my pinions!”
