Devil in the Dancehall

Devil in the Dancehall, The This urban legend was common as a Mexican and SpanishAmerican legend, but it has now been updated as the devil in a disco. A dashing cowboy (vaquero) meets a young woman in a bar, but she is playing hard to get. When the señorita notices that her dance partner has chicken feet, a sign of the Devil, she lets out a scream, crying: “¡Sus pies! ¡Sus Pies!” (His feet! His feet!) before she faints. Once the Devil is revealed, he disappears into the men’s restroom and leaves behind a cloud of smoke that smells of sulfur.
