Forseti (Forsete) (he who sits in the front seat; chairman) In Norse mythology, god of justice and conciliation; son of Baldur and Nanna, whose home was Glitnier. The kenning for Baldur is ā€œForsetiā€™s father.ā€ According to the Prose Edda, ā€œall disputants at law who bring their cases before him go away perfectly reconciled.ā€ The term forseti is still in use today as the title for the president of Iceland.
