Gedé Nibo

Gedé Nibo is the son of Baron Samedi and Madame Brigitte. Ogun is his godfather. Gedé Nibo is the bridge between Barons, Gedés, and Lwa.

He is the prince of the cemetery, the phallic lord of the dead. Gedé Nibo is a great healer and a tremendous guardian of children.

Gedé Nibo straddles the borders between death and life, sex and death, and between genders, too. Nibo may wear mixed feminine and masculine attire. A witty trickster with an eye for a joke, he is simultaneously macho and feminine. Gedé Nibo is variously described as pansexual, transgendered, and also homoerotic.
