Lagasuf: A demon from the Mathers translation of the Sacred Magic of Abramelin the Mage, Lagasuf is governed by the four infernal princes of the cardinal directions: Oriens, Paimon, Amaimon, and Ariton. According to Mathers, who attempted a rough etymology of each of the demon names mentioned in the Abramelin material, Lagasuf’s name is derived from a Hebrew root meaning “the Pale One.”
