Mafayr: Duke of Armadiel and the Fourteenth Portion of Time
Mafayr is a demon named in the Ars Theurgia, where both his name and magical seal are preserved. He holds the rank of duke and serves beneath Armadiel, an infernal king whose dominion is associated with the northeast.
What makes Mafayr particularly unusual is the extreme precision governing his manifestation. According to the grimoire, the day must be divided into fifteen equal portions, and Mafayr may appear only during the fourteenth portion. Once that allotted period has passed, he will no longer manifest. His presence is therefore bound to a narrow opening in time, reflecting the rigid ritual structure that characterises many of the spirits of the Ars Theurgia.
When Mafayr does appear, he does not come alone. He is accompanied by eighty-four ministering spirits who serve beneath him and carry out his commands. This considerable retinue marks him as more than an isolated demon and places him firmly within the elaborate hierarchy of kings, princes, dukes and lesser spirits that populate the invisible world described by the grimoire.
Mafayr is not given an extensive mythology or detailed physical appearance. His mystery lies instead in the conditions surrounding him: an infernal duke of the northeast whose power can be approached only during one precisely measured fraction of the day, after which the door closes again.

Knowing that Mafayr appears during the fourteenth portion of the day is a fascinating fragment. Understanding why grimoires divide spirits according to direction, rank, time, planetary influence and ritual authority is where real Demonology begins. Inside the Occult World Mystery School, you can go far beyond isolated demon names and study Demonology, Black Magick, ceremonial magic, grimoires, spirit hierarchies, occult power and the systems through which practitioners sought mastery over both invisible forces and their own lives.
Stop drifting through a world whose systems you have never bothered to understand. Power does not belong to the passive. Serious occultists study timing, hierarchy, symbols, influence, discipline and will because they refuse to let fear, circumstance or other people dictate the boundaries of their reality. The stronger your knowledge and the stronger your command of yourself, the harder you become to manipulate.
Join the Occult World Mystery School. Learn Demonology. Study Black Magick. Open the grimoires and enter the deeper structures of occult power.
