Morag

The Morag is a lake monster, similar to those reported in Loch Ness, that has been sighted in Loch Morar, a lake in Scotland near Loch Ness. Little attention has been paid to this creature, which, like those of Loch Ness, has been described as having a long body with humps that rise above the surface of the water. However, in 1970 and 1971 a group investigating Loch Ness monsters decided to investigate Morags as well. The research team collected numerous eyewitness reports, and while studying the lake, one of the team’s members, Neil Bass, saw what he believed to be a Morag. The results of this research were published in The Search for Morag (1974) by two members of the team, Elizabeth Montgomery Campbell and David Solomon.
