oraison

An oraisonis a protective Charm in Vodoun that is disguised as a Catholic PRAYER. The prayer is usually addressed to a saint such as Radegonde, Claire, or Bartholomew or to the archangelsaint Michael. It is written on paper and sewn into a pillow, pinned on a wall, or worn on clothing. See also AMULET.
