Madriel: According to the Ars Theurgia, Madriel is a demon with the title of duke. He is governed by the infernal king Pamersiel, who is the first and chief spirit of the east beneath Emperor Carnesiel. Madriel and his fellow dukes are foul and ill-tempered spirits. They are lofty and arrogant, thoroughly evil, and given to deceit. Despite this, the Ars Theurgia suggests that they can be useful in driving off other spirits of darkness. Madriel and his fellows are especially useful in chasing away any spirits that haunt houses.
