Caunus and Biblis In Greek and Roman mythology, brother and sister, children of Miletus and Cyanee. Biblis fell in love with her brother and wrote him a letter telling of her sexual passion. Caunus fled in horror to Caria. Biblis followed him, but eventually she wearied of the chase, dissolved in her tears, and changed into a fountain. Ovid’s Metamorphoses (book 9) tells the tale.
