Iachadiel

Iachadiel: In Mathers‘ translation of the Clavicula Salomonis, this name is connected with the amulet known as the Fifth Pentacle of the Moon. Iachadiel is described as an angel, but he is said to serve destruction and loss. He is also invoked to accomplish spells of necromancy. His status as a fallen angel seems fixed by the remark that he can also be called upon by the names Abdon and Dale. Although the origin and meaning of the name Dale is somewhat unclear, Abdon is likely a corruption of the name Abaddon. As noted elsewhere, Abaddon is widely known as the Angel of the Abyss.
