Mutus Liber

Mutus Liber (Wordless Book) Anonymous alchemical text for creating the Philosopher’s Stone. The Mutus Liber was first printed in France in 1677 and was reissued in 1702. Its origins and authorship are unknown. The content of the book consists only of 15 plates showing different stages of the Great Work, with no accompanying explanation. In true alchemical tradition, the images are meant to be interpreted and understood intuitively. Details missing from the images must come from a student’s spiritual study.
